Northern Football League

With Sunday February 7 marking the one year anniversary of the Black Saturday Bushfires, the Whittlesea Football and Cricket Clubs will come together on the day to play each other in two 20/20 cricket games.

The first game starts at 11am, and will be a Vets match (Over 40s) featuring Dave Cardwell (Whittlesea FC Reserves Coach), Patty Heaphey (Under 19s Coach), Steve Crocker (Club President), and many more.

The Senior teams from both clubs will then take to the field at around 2.30 pm. Some of the players featuring in the Senior game are:

Roy Dyson, Brent Toll, Troy Hennessey, Andrew Fairchild, Max Dyson, Callum Willet, Daniel Burcul, Declan Skehan and Steve Dorsett.

Both games will be held at the Whittlesea Cricket Ground, Walker Reserve, Whittlesea.

A DJ, Live Band and sporting personalities will feature throughout the day, while the Football Club will be looking after the barbeque and the Cricket Club the bar. Many football and cricket items will be auctioned on the day as well.
