Northern Football League

It is with great sympathy that the Northern Football League community mourn the tragic passing of Danny Strickland.

Danny played all his junior football with the Eltham Junior Football Club, were he regularly featured in Diamond Valley representative teams and went on to represent the Northern Knights. He eventually progressed through to play with the Eltham senior side between 2001 and 2007, before returning to the league last year to be a prominent player with the Panton Hill Football Club. 

Danny finished fifth in last year's Division 3 Bullants' Player of the Year votes, and had recently begun training with twin brother Shannon at the Lower Plenty Football Club.

A popular figure wherever he went, Danny will be sorely missed, and the Northern Football League Board and staff offer their deepest condolences to the Strickland family during this tough time.
