One of the shining lights for Mill Park in 2009. # 18 – Lachy Wain Elegant ruckman from Eltham with a great leap. Excellent at stoppages and around the ground # 23 – Tyson WhiteAthletic half back who runs and carries the ball beautifully. A West Preston boy, he is probably the quickest player in the entire squad Under 14 White CAPTAIN – Jack Bertagni (# 46) VICE CAPTAIN – Nick Di Santo (# 33) DEPUTY VICE – Lachlan Harrison (# 43) 5 Players to watch: # 1 – Kyle O’Sullivan Exciting midfielder from Eltham who will provide run and skill from the bench # 3 – Anthony Condello A late addition to the squad, this Epping gun has super pace and will be an important on-baller # 10 – Anthony Mokbel Bustling forward from West Preston who barely drops a mark. Should be in the goalkickers # 18 – Liam Pender Has relished the new surrounds at Greensborough and provides run, skill and athleticism. One of the key backs # 23 – Brody Waugh Keon Park forward who put a scare through the camp after a dirt bike fall! Loves a goal and has strong hands. Under 15 Blue CAPTAIN – Ben Irving (# 11) VICE CAPTAIN – Matty Haynes (# 28) DEPUTY VICE – Taylor Tangas (# 7) 5 Players to watch: # 10 – Sam Pupillo Half back from Whittlesea who reads the play beautifully. An important leader in the blue team. # 13 – Nathan Sammit Could be the wildcard. Super aggressive at the contest, the big man from Epping will spend most of his time at Centre Half Back. # 16 – Brandon Lee Strong ruckman from Research with a booming left foot kick. Missed the championships last year and will be looking to make up for it in 2009. # 23 – Mitch Tobin Hard as nails on baller from West Preston who leads by example on field. # 29 – Anthony BonaddioLightning quick and very hard to tackle. Anthony’s run and carry will be crucial throughout the championships. Under 15 White CAPTAIN – Ben Hooper (# 35) 5 Players to watch: # 3 – Matthew Mahoney Midfielder from Yarrambat who can play anywhere and runs all day. Hard at the contest and loves kicking goals on the run. # 6 – Trent Groom Goal-kicking machine from Mill Park who rarely misses a set shot. Hard to stop if he’s switched on. # 17 – Ben Schraven Small mid from Wallan who uses the ball exceptionally well and never gives in. A key to this team. # 23 – Joey Khalil Rangy West Preston utility with an outstanding leap. Should provide plenty of rebound from defense. # 33 – Jay Barbera Goal-kicking midfielder from Hurstbridge who can win games off his own boot.
